Welcome to Upper Row Farm, we are a small family run farm which runs a care farm day service, promotes education in farming and nature, and embraces high animal welfare.
Fantastic announcement – Farmer Emma has won both a bursary and the Bath and West LandAlive grant to be able to study the Roots 2 Regeneration course 2025. This is an incredible achievement which will drive Upper Row Farm towards its goal of being at the forefront of true regenerative agriculture – combining food production with biodiversity and climate change resilience. By visiting the farm you are supporting this new and bold way of changing how we farm and returning the countryside to a place where nature and feeding the nation work side-by-side, not in conflict.
We are excited to announce the return of our very popular Farm Visit Days in 2025 We have visits on April 11th, 16th, 18th, 19th and 21st.
These will be pre-book only events with limited numbers. This is to ensure that every one of our visitors has an amazing time and that our animals are not put under any stress. We are a working farm so this is your opportunity to see what farming life is really like. During the 3 hour visit you will get to explore the farm, visit the animals and get some hands-on experiences. Then relax in our Activity Shed for refreshments and homemade cake. Maybe, even taking home some produce for tea. For more information please click here or contact us.
NEW FOR 2025 – private single group visits. These are designed to support individuals that may need a quieter and more understanding environment in order to get the most out of their visit. Upper Row Farm is proud to be as inclusive as possible to help everyone enjoy the countryside.

Upper Row Farm has been in the family for generations and it is still a working farm producing lamb and beef. It is a small farm (100 acres) compared to most, but we see this as one of its biggest strengths. We are proud to be preserving a wonderfully diverse range of habitats. Our aim is to farm productively hand-in-hand with the natural environment. Through good soil structure, high biodiversity, managed input and creativity we have created a beautiful spot in the Somerset countryside.
